Cal Lutheran Cares Day 2023

A Cal Lutheran graduate and spouse have made a $350,000 gift to support a new “Faculty Fellows” program conceived by President Varlotta to recognize outstanding faculty who are making a difference in the lives of their students and the university. The program will launch in the 2023-24 academic year. To inspire others to contribute to this initiative, the donors have earmarked their $350,000 as seed money to be used in a dollar-for-dollar match to support this important cause.

Thanks to the generosity of Milt and Debbie Valera, your gift will be matched dollar-for-dollar up to $25,000 to the Presidential Strategic Initiatives Fund.

From 8 am to noon, 20 gifts of $150 or more to the Presidential Strategic Initiatives Fund will unlock a combined donation of $15,000 from Rod Gilbert and Susie Lundeen-Smuck and Steve Smuck.
