The Oxnard University Satellite Center serves a broad student constituency including the Bachelor’s Degree for Professionals undergrad students, as well as graduate students from the Graduate School of Education, the School of Management, and Graduate Psychology. The Center is also the home to the PsyD program. In addition to serving these students, the Center has welcomed Oxnard College PACE students. Hundreds of students take their courses at the Oxnard University Satellite Center each year. Many of these students never attend classes on the main campus. Additionally, the Center partners with Cal Lutheran’s Center for Nonprofit Leadership to hold their workshops as well as with local non-profit organizations to support our local community (e.g. the United Way Ventura County’s Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program).
The Center supports students by striving to provide great educational experiences that fosters learning ay the highest level. Not only is the Center open for classes, but students can use the center for studying and meeting for group projects during the week and on weekends.
We want to do more for our students. Students at the Center would like to see mixers (between programs and with alumni) and other student-friendly events to build the community in Oxnard and offer opportunities for networking and making career connections.
